Planeta Blu Rise of Agoo....This Summer!!!

I’ve illustrated a 200+ page graphic novel written by Tem Blessed scheduled to be release summer 2021. This has been the largest project I have ever worked on and I can’t wait to see it finished and in print. You can pre-order the book here: https://planetablu.com

Below is an animation I did for the successful kickstarter campaign we did in the summer of 2020. You can learn all about the project here on the campaign page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/planetabluriseofagoo/planeta-blu-rise-of-agoo/description

Imphouse Games has a new game ready to unleash on Kickstarter! Savage Planet: The Fates of Fantos is a our tableau-building card game combining competitive and cooperative elements for 2 to 6 players. Each player represents a unique Citadel (city-state) located on the planet Fantos. They must hire mercenaries (called Legacies) using Iridium shards from their Citadel's bank. Once hired, Legacies can be tasked to Harvest more shards, go to War with a neighboring Citadel,or be nominated as a Tribute to help save Fantos. Legacies may also play Labor cards from the Citadel’s hand using their own shard currency. Every time a player chooses to pollute the planet by harvesting shards from the Trove of Fantos, they must reveal a new card from the Trials Deck. Life on Fantos becomes increasingly difficult as Zodraz unleashes plagues, summons cosmic creatures, and forces dissent among the Citadels. Resolve them together or watch as rival Citadels struggle to survive. Plan wisely and make every turn matter because Zodraz is lurking in the final Trials deck. When the Cosmic Warden is drawn, judgement is passed (scores are tallied) and the game is over.

Find out more about the game on ImpHouse.com, and mark your calendars to join us for the Kickstarter campaign beginning June 8th!

Savage Planet: Fate of Fantos...almost finished

Over the last year I have been feverishly working with the good people over at Imphouse Games in Texas on a new fantasy card game titled Savage Planet: The Fate of Fantos. I am so excited for this game to be created. I illustrated over 80 cards and have just loved being in this weird and trippy world. Imphouse has posted several pages on the game so please visit them and learn all about it.

Here is an inked version of one of the characters called the bailiff. All of the finished cards are in color and have all the necessary information on them for game play.

Interview on Entropy Mag

I had the chance to Skype in and interview with the awesome Keith McCleary over at Entropy Mag. We spoke about comics, building a career, parenthood, and other fun stuff. Lots of preview images on the site.

Here's the description of what Entropy is all about:

A new website featuring literary and related non-literary content. A website that loves and builds off models such as HTMLGIANTKotakuThe Lit Pub, Gawker, & The Rumpus. A website that seeks to engage with the literary community, that becomes its own community, and creates a space for literary and non-literary ideas. A website that seeks to cover topics such as video games, graphic novels, interactive literature, science fiction, fantasy, music, film, art, and other topics in addition to literary reviews, interviews, conversations, and articles on experimental literature, translation, small press practices, and performance. The views and opinions of Entropy’s writers are not necessarily the views of the website as a whole. But we appreciate diverse beliefs and want to encourage open discussion through a variety of opinions.

Interview in Strange Kids Club Magazine

I had the pleasure to be interviewed in Strange Tales Magazine issue 5. The interview focuses on Grayskull Grindhouse. Sadly, the Strange Kids Club blog where GG was published is taking a hiatus but will continue publishing magazines. This issue featured some amazing artists such as Michael Anderson, Jonathan Cantero, and Josh Ager Strand.

My first children's book is almost finished! Putting the finishing touches on it and getting ready to send it off to publishing houses. Fingers crossed. You can see a lot of the book in progress in the illustration section. It's a story to chronicle our first winter in Maine, and it was epic.

Happy Holidays

Here's a recent illustration I did for Maine Seniors Magazine. I actually had no idea it would be the whole cover. This is a character I designed to represent one of their contributors.
